The need to have control removes us from the splendour of patience and calmness. The
mask of control has one purpose, and that is to pacify our Ego fear-thought patterns. It is a
mask that creates the illusion of protection, the urgency of attempting to look good in the
eyes of others, and to avoid feeling vulnerable, the Egoic mind seeks to keep us busy and
always in a hurry.

The result is we feel as if there is never enough time, and that in itself establishes our
resistance to the now. So much of today’s anxiety stems from the simplest idea that we have
control over outcomes or people and situations. By now we all know that the only control we
truly have is of our attitude, our habits, and actions. The challenge is in how much
awareness we have regarding the present moment. The more we lack awareness, the more
we are in resistance to what is. And therefore, less available. Availability equals presence.
Presence equals awareness.

In presence there is only surrender and trust. The ability to experience being available in the
joy in life is in direct proportion to our awareness. We must nurture our capacity to be

The New Moon is the sign of Gemini on 6 June 2024, and this is a wonderful time to
communicate and socialise. Be especially aware of your indecisiveness, rather take a
deeper look at what is being communicated to you.

The Full Moon is in the sign of Capricorn on 21 June 2024. This is also the Winter Solstice
here in the Southern hemisphere which symbolises renewal and rebirth. Much focus will be
with career or mother. A good time to restructure and prioritise as things come to completion.
